Being blue and white in the Big Smoke

As you may well know, located outside the sheltered and heavenly valleys of Kirklees and Calderdale, the home of the mighty HTAFC,  is a big wide world. Town fans like me have left this rainy heaven of football to live a life elsewhere, like London. But something still remains, deep buried down in my soul, something that will never go away, no matter how many times i wander down Charing Cross road under a sea of Chelsea shirts and this is Huddersfield Town.

The point of this blog is to mainly comment on and celebrate being a Town fan in such an alien environment. The name refers to the honour ladened decade of our great team, the last time we were truly top of the tree and a statement that gets repeated many times when talking about our team to a daft southerner.

Before moving, it all used to be so simple, getting up around eleven to wander down to Denby Dale and catch train in, few beers around town before the match and then a short walk to the stadium. This Blog gives an insight into those long winding roads that lead up North, the promised land. We hope to feature match day reports, tips and travel for people coming 'darn sarf' as well as our opinions on all things town from a London point of view. Now League One is very southern orientated, this Blog along with sites such as DATM could provide very useful and we want to share the knowledge and the reasons why we came here in the first place.

Keep the Faith
